Note di degustazione
The 2013 Gibson Ranch Heritage Wine stands apart from most of the other wines in this range as the Syrah and other Rhône varieties dominate the blend. Black pepper, lavender, smoke, incense and mint blossom in a powerful, structured wine that appears destined for a long life...if readers can keep their hands off.

The 2013 Proprietary Red Gibson Ranch Heritage comes from another field blend grown in a vineyard planted in 1888 in McDowell Valley. One of the more simple wines in the Bedrock portfolio, it reminds me of a California version of a good Côtes du Rhône. Peppery, with lots of straightforward red and black fruits, a hint of roasted herbs and spices, and medium body, it can be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
