2012 Efeste Cabernet Sauvignon Big Papa Old Block

(14.8% alcohol; from Klipsun, Bacchus, Kiona and Red Willow vineyards): Bright, dark ruby-red. Musky aromas of black cherry, smoke and licorice. Silky, utterly seamless Cabernet with a slightly porty, chocolatey ripeness to its dark berry fruit. For its ripeness and size, this is remarkably fresh. Finishes with big but lush tannins and excellent length.
