Note di degustazione
The more expensive 2016 Crozes Hermitage Les Picaudieres was brought up in equal parts barrel and concrete. It has more plum, blackberry, pepper, and flowery incense notes in a rich, medium-bodied, nicely textured package. Drink it over the coming 4-6 years.

Deep ruby. Expressive red and blue fruit, cola and Indian spice aromas, joined by a sexy potpourri quality as the wine opens up. Sweet, energetic blueberry and cherry flavors show excellent clarity and spicy lift, picking up a smoky mineral nuance on the back half. Delivers a serious punch of sappy dark fruit but comes off surprisingly lithe and finishes with impressive, mineral-driven persistence.
Slightly richer and more complex than Rousset's Le Domaine bottling, the 2016 Crozes Hermitage les Picaudieres offers scents of blueberries and herbs, ripe, supple tannins and a long finish filled with building tea and spice notes. Aged half in tank and half in oak, it should drink well on release.
Impressively ripe black fruit with excellent pepper seasoning to give a savoury finish on the palate. Medium body and soft tannin. Moderate length, lovely easy-drinking structure. (RH)
