2015 Domaine Rousset Crozes-Hermitage Les Picaudieres

Lurid ruby. Smoky, mineral-accented cherry and dark berry preserve scents are complicated by hints of five-spice powder, violet and licorice. Supple and broad on the palate, offering intense blackberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors that become sweeter and livelier with air. A suave floral pastille note comes up on the persistent, mineral-dominated finish, which shows excellent clarity and gentle, well-knit tannins.
