Punteggio 92/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, Jul 2018

The 2005 Pinot Noir Fe Ciega Vineyard is drinking beautifully as well, with lots of mature fruit, forest floor and hints of tapenade giving way to a medium-bodied, supple, seamless Pinot Noir. Possessing fine tannin, well-integrated acidity and a great finish, it's drinking at point today, yet I suspect it will cruise in the cellar as well. The Fe Ciega Vineyard (which is Spanish for blind faith) is a cool site on the western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, and Adam’s Pinot Noir from this site is mostly destemmed (it was completely destemmed up through the 2010 vintage) and spends 15 months in roughly 20% new barrels. It has a wonderfully complex style and can easily deep for 10-15 years after the vintage.

Bright ruby. Intensely floral aromas of red berries, fresh rose and minerals. Lush, creamy raspberry and cherry flavors offer silky texture and impressive purity, with no rough edges or herbacity. Finishes clean and brisk, with excellent persistence and clarity. Very pretty wine.
