2004 Domaine Mathilde et Yves Gangloff Côte-Rôtie La Barbarine

The 2004 Cote Rotie, which comes from relatively young vines in different parcels, with some Viognier in it, is lean, as one might expect from this vintage, with austere tannins as well as some notes of tapenade intermixed with red cherry and currant.
