From a planting at Domaine de la Côte below the Memorious plot, the 2022 Chardonnay Romance is a fabulous wine. Its nose combines nuanced, oceanic lift with honeyed, rich decadence, qualities that fittingly introduce a punchy, dense, coiled palate whose tension unwinds into a beautiful long and layered finish that regenerates energy with impressive detail and clarity. It will be hard to avoid drinking now, but it will surely reward patience.

Expressive, deep and dynamic, with tons of complexity, the 2022 offers notable concentration while remaining light on its feet. Apricot, chamomile, white flowers, mint and lightly honeyed notes build effortlessly. This is such a gorgeous wine.
