2018 Mickaël Bourg Cornas Les P'tits Bouts

Opaque ruby. A highly perfumed, complex bouquet evokes red and dark berry liqueur, potpourri, smoky bacon and Moroccan spices. Stains the palate with sweet blackberry, cherry preserve, spicecake and violet pastille flavors that are sharpened by a smoky mineral note and a jolt of cracked pepper. Puts on weight with air and finishes impressively long and spicy, with repeating minerality and a youthful tannic grip.
