(68% whole clusters and 60% new French oak) Pale ruby. A highly expressive bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, cola, candied rose and vanilla, along with a smoky mineral overtone. Concentrated yet lively in the mouth, showing excellent clarity and spicy lift to the spice-laced raspberry liqueur, cherry cola and floral pastille flavors. Shows impressive tension and thrust on the subtly tannic finish, which hangs on with bright, minerally persistence.

Moving to the reds, the 2015 Pinot Noir Stone Corral Vineyard comes from a terrific site in the Edna Valley and spent 15 months in 60% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it gives up a terrific bouquet of currants, dried earth, herbs, and subtle floral notes. Medium-bodied and nicely textured, with bright acidity, it’s a clean, balanced, outstanding Pinot Noir that should keep for 6-7 years.
Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2015 Pinot Noir Stone Corral Vineyard displays subtle red currants, Bing cherries and dried leaves notes with wafts of lavender and black pepper. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is delicate and refreshing, with a gentle frame of chewy tannins supporting the perfumed red berry flavors, finishing on an earthy note.
