Brilliant ruby. Highly perfumed red and dark berry aromas are complemented by hints of candied flowers and incense. Pure and focused on the palate, offering sweet black raspberry and cherry cola flavors in a suave combination of depth and vivacity. Picks up a spicy quality with air, which carries through a very long, supple finish shaped by slow-building tannins. I underestimated this wine from barrel.

Bright purple. Highly perfumed bouquet of ripe red berries, allspice and potpourri, with subtle woodsmoke and anise notes in the background. Sappy, expansive black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors become spicier with air and pick up a minerally nuance. Seamless and sweet on the nervy finish, showing very good intensity and silky tannins.
