Tank sample. Alluring, inviting aromas. Not the heftiest example but this more than makes up for it with precision and elegance. Fine line of acidity allied to purity of red-berry and currant fruit. Mineral edge. Will age gracefully but can also be appreciated young. Great introduction to charms of Barthod. (AWH)

Top Value. The super-fresh essence of various red berries laced with a touch of just turned earth precedes sleek and utterly delicious medium weight flavors that flash surprisingly good power on the youthfully austere and crunchy finale. This is an excellent example of the genre and worth your interest.
Bright purple, fresh, plenty of fruit, no more concentration than the Louis Boillot version. If anything slightly the leaner of the two upfront, but with good concentration behind as is typical of the Bons Bâtons vineyard. Drink from 2025-2028. Tasted: November 2023.
