Note di degustazione
Fragrant like the village wine, perhaps more so, with a touch of spice. More chew but still with the fruit to push the tannins to the background. Long and elegant and such a light touch allows the fruit to shine. (JH)

(just three barrels made, representing production of 25 hectoliters per hectare): Moderately saturated medium red. Ripe raspberry and black plum aromas are complicated by underbrush, wild herbs and a hint of prune; slightly liqueur-like. Rich and velvety in the mouth, with wild, brambly black fruit and menthol flavors underpinned by solid minerality. Larger-scaled than the foregoing wines but more reserved today and not yet displaying its personality.
One of the more delicate, airy wines in this range, the Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes is laced with sweet red cherries, crushed raspberries, rose petals and sweet spices, all in a gracious, lifted, mid-weight style built on impeccable balance and pure class. The 2012 is understated and very, very beautiful.
