Deep garnet. Evolved, with leather polish and dense black-cherry fruit. Wonderfully cedary and developed. Still very large with a good charge of acid and lengthy fruit. (SCJ)

Arietta's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is plush, round and inviting. Tamed tannins and forward fruit make this an especially succulent, juicy wine for the year. As such, the 2013 will drink well with minimal cellaring. Dark cherry, plum, licorice, mint and violet overtones are laced into the silky, inviting finish. The 2013 was more impressive when I tasted it a year earlier.
Subdued aromatics. Sweet fruit on the palate and a finish of toasted oak. (ECB)
2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a somewhat smaller-framed style of wine, with a dark ruby/purple color, vanilla, hints of coffee bean and spice. It’s playing it close to the vest at present. The wine is medium-bodied with excellent concentration, but not nearly as expressive as the 2012 88 Keys. Give this another year or so of bottle age and drink over the following 15 years.
