Note di degustazione
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Cras 1er Cru is just a little animally on the nose, a splash of soy infusing the dark cherry and raspberry fruit, though it becomes less feral in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, lightly spiced, and quite firm and linear in style, leading to a structured, slightly bitter finish. This is more rigid than I anticipated. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Cras 1er Cru has a more elegant, refined bouquet compared to the Aux Boudots this year, displaying very fine delineation to the pure, precocious mulberry and blackberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, layers of lightly tarred black fruit and a rounded, quite sensual finish that lingers in the mouth. Recommended.
An exuberantly fresh if brooding nose displays essence of red cherry, raspberry and soft earth aromas that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The sappy yet tightly round and well-detailed mineral-driven flavors culminate in a lingering and once again very focused, youthfully austere and backward finale. Again, patience strongly advised.
