Note di degustazione
Coming from a mix of vineyards throughout California (Brosseau, Doctor's, Dos Rubios, Garys', Pisoni, Rosella's, Soberanes and La Rinconada), the 2014 Pinot Noir Cuvee Niclaire was mostly destemmed and then spent 12 months in 64% new French oak. Fresh raspberry, black plum, toasted spice, spring flowers and discrete oak all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, rich, yet fresh and lively Pinot Noir that has plenty of focus and cut, yet also texture and richness. The tannin is polished and elegant, and it should drink nicely for 4-6 years.

Vivid ruby-red. Sexy, oak-spiced black raspberry and cherry cola on the nose, along with suggestions of five-spice powder and incense. Lively and precise on entry, then deeper and broader in the midpalate, offering sappy red and dark berry preserve flavors and a hint of candied flowers. Shows impressive focus and lift on the persistent finish, which features silky tannins and a resonating floral quality.
