The 2021 Pinot Noir Niclaire is a selection of the best barrels in the cellar. Sleek and polished to the core, the 2021 is quite impressive. Soft, plush contours wrap around succulent black cherry, dried herbs, lavender, menthol, spice and mocha. A kick of blood orange livens up the finish. Naturally, the Niclaire is not a wine of site, but it is undeniably beautiful.

Lastly, the 2021 Pinot Noir Niclaire comes from a mix of sites and spent 17 months in 69% new barrels. It has some darker berries, spicy oak, and earthy, spicy notes in a rounded, nicely textured, enjoyable style. In general, I found all of Testarossa’s Pinot Noirs to be good but not up to previous vintages that I've tried. I found most of these latest Pinot Noir releases from Testarossa to be good but not up to previous vintages.
