100% Riesling. Harvested on 17–18 September. Fermented and aged for eight months in stainless steel. Bottled July 2020. TA 7.3 g/l. Organic. Vegan. Exciting and spicy and correct. So good and such a pleasure, with great fruit/acid balance and a lime note. (JR)

Vinified in stainless steel, the 2019 Ried Heiligenstein Lyra 1ÖTW Kamptal Riesling opens with a clear, deep and concentrated, intensely aromatic yet also pure and mineral nose of fully ripe fruits intertwined with crystalline terroir notes. Lush and intense on the vertical structured, juicy and elegant palate, this is a full-bodied, crystalline, fresh, very long, pure, complex and concentrated Heiligenstein with a tight, fresh, lemon-flavored, very long and mineral finish that is still tensioned but will gain finesse and elegance with bottle age. This is a great Heiligenstein for those who have patience. The Lyra version is definitely the purer, fresher and more energetic version compared to the Alte Reben, but I hesitate to say it's the better wine. I just like it more. 13% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at Schloss Gobelsburg in June and at home in October 2021.
Correct and non flashy, but with lots of undertow. Still a little raw but all the elements are there. Great future! (JR)
Sandstone. Much less intense aroma here than on the Alte Reben version of this wine. Gentle on the palate too even if the acidity is just as marked. Seems simpler overall, pure and long. (JH)
