Note di degustazione
The lightly colored 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Le Jardin Secret comes all from the Happy Canyon region of Santa Barbara and was brought up in a mix of concrete, neutral barrels, and stainless steel. It's a vibrant, racy Sauvignon Blanc loaded with notions of green citrus, Meyer lemons, and hints of white grapefruit. Crisp, steely, and pure on the palate, with beautiful acidity, it's going to be versatile on the dinner table as well as evolve gracefully.

Paul Lato's 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Le Jardin Secret Grimm's Bluff Vineyard presents a striking interplay of varietal notes with the natural richness of the year. Pear, smoke, slate, crushed rock and floral notes are finely sculpted in this very pretty, focused Sauvignon Blanc. There is a level of purity in the Jardin Secret that is about as good as it gets in 2017.
The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Le Jardin Secret Grimm's Bluff Vineyard is very attractive, opening in the glass with a classy bouquet of gooseberry, grapefruit pith, wet stones and exotic botanicals. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with superb cut and tension, built around a bright line of acidity and concluding with a tangy, stony finish. This was fermented and matured in concrete plus one stainless steel barrel and one neutral oak barrel. Given its balance and structure, it should be interesting to follow for the better part of a decade.
