2013 Domaine Frédéric Magnien Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaut Saint-Jacques 1er Cru

The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux St Jacques has a broody, saturnine bouquet with licorice-tinged black cherry fruit that refuses to come out and play. The palate is ripe and rounded on the entry, the red and black fruit more expressive and candied than the nose, building toward the suave, showy finish that is the opposite of the aromatics! This should be intriguing once in bottle.
