Note di degustazione
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru has a showy, fruit-laden bouquet of copious dark cherries, cassis and lightly honeyed aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin and quite a lot of extract that renders the finish a little labored. This year, it is not one of my favorite cuvées from the domaine , and I hope it will improve.

Aromas of smoked meats, ripe cherries, wild berries and rich soil tones introduce the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy wine with good concentration and youthfully chewy structuring tannin. This is still quite youthfully primary and will likely flesh out appreciably by the time it's bottled.
An aromatically brooding and reticent nose is comprised of soft oak nuances surrounding the spicy aromas of red and dark currant and suggestions of earth and rose petal. Somewhat surprisingly, the mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is quite with a lovely minerality, all wrapped in a powerful finale. This is at once generous and muscular and should drink well on the younger side yet age well too.
