2006 Patz & Hall Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard

Good full deep red. Deep, musky aromas of raspberry, blueberry and smoked meat. Large-scaled and powerful but not especially sweet. There's huge fruit here but in a distinctly masculine style and in need of time in bottle. This will age on its sheer size and volume. The tannins are strong but fine-grained. Anne Moses describes this wine as more restrained at this early stage than the 2005 and notes that the fruit was picked late in what was a cool year for this site.
