Note di degustazione
Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Contrarian Proprietary Red features plenty of ripe cherries, plus some slightly herbal, dark chocolate and mocha overtones. It's full-bodied and tannic, but those tannins are silky-textured and fine-grained, while the long, softly astringent finish adds hints of vanilla.

Checking in as 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest nearly equal parts Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, the 2021 Contrarian Proprietary Red is a richer, full-bodied, incredibly impressive 2021 that has an inky purple hue, killer notes of cassis, blueberries, graphite, and chocolate, a Pessac-Léognan-like smoky, scorched earth character, ample mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It's another serious, age-worthy 2021 from this label that a reader would love to have in their cellar.
The 2021 Contrarian is a rich, deeply-structured offering from Blackbird. Grilled herbs, incense, graphite, leather, tobacco and crème de cassis infuse this savory, brooding Cabernet with tons of layers. The Contrarian is a super-ripe, inky wine.
The 2021 Contrarian is a big, big wine. Cedar, tobacco, incense and dried herbs give the 2021 notable aromatic presence. There's tons of richness and pure power in this Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend.
