2011 Copain Syrah Hawks Butte

Bright red. High-pitched red berry and floral scents, with a zesty mineral overtone and a strong dose of peppery spices. Lithe and precise on the palate, offering vibrant raspberry, bitter cherry and rhubarb flavors that are slow to unfold. The spicy note clings on the finish, which is gently sweet and nicely focused. This wine was vinified with 50% whole clusters.
