2017 PerUs Janeen

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Janeen is all Cabernet (the 2016 had a splash of Merlot) brought up in new barrels. It’s a ripe, powerful 2017 that offers a dense plum/purple hue as well as rocking notes of chocolate covered black and blue fruits, chocolate, Asian spices, cigar, asphalt, and violets. Full-bodied, nicely concentrated, and textured on the palate, with the classic, elegant, straight style of the vintage, it’s going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and evolve for 10-15 years.
