Note di degustazione
The 2021 Pinot Noir 459 is expressive and detailed. It's scented of blackberries and cranberries with nuances of tea leaves, bitters and tobacco. The medium-bodied palate is chalky and refreshing with a deep core of spicy fruit, and there's a flourish of spice and floral tones on the finish.

The 2021 Pinot Noir 459 is aromatic and nicely lifted, as all the wines are this year. Blood orange, crushed red berry fruit, mint and spice are all laced together. This lithe, delicate Pinot Noir sure is a charmer. The purity of the flavors is quite attractive, but I would have liked to see a bit more depth.
Bright raspberries, framboise, spring flowers, and sappy herb notes emerge from the 2021 Pinot Noir 459, a pretty, lifted, floral Pinot Noir that’s medium to full-bodied and has a vibrant spine of acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a great finish. It's another beautifully layered, complex, complete wine in the lineup. It's going to age as well. Give bottles 2-3 years in the cellar if you can and enjoy over the following decade. As usual with Greg’s wines, these wines are not destemmed and are brought up all in neutral barrels. Most of the Chardonnays check in around 14% alcohol, with the Pinot Noirs between 14%-14.5%, and they all have singular characters as well as a decade of longevity at a minimum. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better lineup of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from anyone in California.
