The 2021 Syrah Solitaire, which comes from a site in Carneros, is slightly more exotic, with herbes de Provence, game, lavender, and red and black fruit dominating the bouquet. It's another finesse-driven, medium to full-bodied, flawlessly balanced Syrah from Keplinger that has incredible class. Enjoy bottles over the coming decade.

The 2021 Solitaire, 100% Syrah (all Estrella Clone) is a rich, heady wine. Super-ripe dark fruit, cloves, licorice, incense, and chocolate are all amplified. This big, full-bodied wine packs a huge punch, but it is not exactly subtle. I suspect future vintages will be more dialed in. The 2021 is especially ripe and dense.
