2006 Domaine Guffens-Heynen Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Jus des Hauts de Vignes

Peachy nose – so round that when it was served blind I didn't think it was a Côte d'Or wine and went sallying off into the New World. More obviously Pouilly-Fuissé (in retrospect) than the 1997 served alongside. Excellent acidity with round, rather bumptious fruit. This convinced me it was in the first blush of youth and had a long life ahead. (JR)
