Note di degustazione
(all syrah, from a single vineyard on the northern edge of Condrieu): Inky ruby. Pungent smoke- and pepper-accented dark berries and cherry pit on the perfumed nose. Round, ripe and expansive, offering gently sweet plum and cherry compote flavors and a hint of licorice. Lively and precise on the youthfully gripping finish, which lingers with very good smoky persistence. These vines actually grow within the Condrieu appellation but since there's no such thing as Condrieu rouge the wine can only be called Cotes-du-Rhone.
