Good full dark red. Currant, plum and medicinal cherry scents with a strong overlay of minerals, earth, herbs, menthol and tobacco leaf. Smooth and sweet on entry, with the medicinal and slightly herbal qualities carrying through the middle palate. Very Cabernet in a slightly leafy, earthy but plush way, but also with a touch of chocolatey ripeness. Doesn't offer quite the juiciness or flavor definition of my favorite 2010s. Tannins are ripe but the finish shows a touch of herbacity and dryness.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, this beauty boasts a deep blue/purple color as well as a stunning nose of acacia flowers, blueberries and raspberries. Medium to full-bodied with an ethereal elegance and lightness as well as beautiful texture, finesse and harmony, it reveals the Margaux-like side of southern Napa. (15.4% alcohol; from vines picked over a period of seven weeks; 80% cabernet sauvignon, 11% merlot, 5% cabernet franc and 4% petit verdot): Full, bright red-ruby color. Inviting aromas of plum, tobacco, truffle and damp earth. Broad, lush and sweet, offering seamless flavors of redcurrant, plum and tobacco. Finishes with plush tannins and enticing lingering sweetness. This makes for a very satisfying drink already.
