Note di degustazione
The 2016 Blanc de Noirs Presle represents Bouchard's sixth rendition of this cuvée, derived from a 0.25-hectare parcel that's planted with 10 different massal selections of Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin. There was serious frost in 2016, making for heterogenous maturation, yet the wine has turned out brilliantly, mingling aromas of yellow apple and pear with hints of orange oil and warm bread. Medium-bodied, chiseled and precise, with a pretty core of fruit and a racy spine of acidity, it's one of the most delicate, fine-boned wines in the range this year.

The 2016 Blanc de Noirs Presle is an explosion of aromas, flavors and textures. A Champagne of tremendous aromatic intensity, the Presle screams with Pinot character, certainly more so than the earlier wines in this range. The Presle emerges from a tiny parcel of measuring 0.25 hectares planted with 10 different Pinot clones over 15 rows. It is beguiling, nuanced and so full of character. I love the energy here. Zero dosage. Disgorged: April, 2020.
