Note di degustazione
The 2021 Meursault Clos des Bouchères 1er Cru is far better than the previous two wines in the flight from Jobard and Fabien Coche: more tension and mineralité , more transparency and energy. The oak here is seamlessly integrated. The palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced energetic opening. Impressive depth and weight, fresh and saline, there is real complexity and sapidity on the finish urging you back for more. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Meursault Clos des Bouchères 1er Cru sports some reduction on the nose. Blind, yes, I might mistake for the gaff down the road (Coche-Dury). The palate is very well-balanced, with a lick of salinity on the entry. This is an extremely capable Meursault that is very poised and mineral-driven with a sustained finish.
A touch more reserved than the extrovert Charmes, the 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Clos des Bouchères unwinds to reveal aromas of pear, citrus zest, fresh bread, beeswax and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's lively and tensile, with chalky grip and a saline finish.
