Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2022-2032, Jeb Dunnuck, Apr 2022

The 2019 Grand Village (Lafleur) Blanc is a great expression of Sauvignon (I think there might be some Semillon in there as well) offering ripe citrus, honeyed lime, chalky mineral, and hints of minty herb-like aromas and flavors. Vibrant, racy, and pure, it's medium-bodied on the palate and has a layered, elegant mouthfeel that gains depth and richness with air. It certainly plays in the racier end of the spectrum, yet it brings plenty of mid-palate depth as well as length on the finish. It should keep for a decade.

The 2019 Grand Village Blanc, two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Sémillon, has a detailed bouquet featuring touches of nectarine, orchard fruit and orange pith; light white flower scents emerge with time. The smooth palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced entry, a slightly waxy texture, and hints of apricot and quince toward the fresh finish. Lots of lovely dry extract lends substance to this excellent white.

The 2019 Grand Village Blanc is airy, gracious and beautifully lifted. Crushed rocks, mint and citrus notes abound. The aromatics are especially evident in the 2019, a gorgeous wine to enjoy now and over the next handful of years.
