The 2015 Nénin has a dustiness on the nose. This is more tertiary than its peers, perhaps without some of the purity it showed in youth. The palate is medium-bodied and nicely balanced, with grainy tannins, graphite and tobacco infusing the finish that shows a little austerity. But it seems to gain more élan in the glass and it represents a commendable Pomerol to drink over the next decade.

The 2015 Nénin has an identical bouquet to the one encountered a couple of years ago with its cedar and tar-laced red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and fine acidity; it's pretty ferrous with a fine structure towards the finish. Impressive ripeness here, this Pomerol is maturing with style, though I would still be inclined to give it two to three more years in bottle.
You feel the ripeness of the vintage in the generosity of these gorgeous ripe red and black fruits, shot through with a big dash of black truffle, black cherry and damson plums, with grilled espresso, caramel and salted toffee as it opens, placing you directly in Pomerol. Still plenty of tannic hold, you can drink now but there is no rush at all and will benefit from a few hours in a carafe. 40% new oak.
The 2015 Nénin has a perfumed red currant and wild strawberry scented bouquet laced with tar and cedar, quite pure and delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with edgy tannin, a fine bead of acidity, plenty of graphite-tinged black fruit with a spicy and rather persistent finish. Excellent.
