Note di degustazione
52.5% Merlot, 38.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Moderate tannin, blackcurrant and blueberry. High acid – definitely ageworthy to bring out something beyond the very dense fruit. (RH)

Currant, graphite and dried flowers on the nose. Sweet, lush and concentrated, with very sexy fruit tones complemented by graphite and flowers. Very suave and accessible merlot-based wine with a silky texture and sweet tannins.
The red wines begin with the 2006 D2, a blend of 52.5% Merlot, 38.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot sourced from 8 vineyards, much of the fruit from the Red Mountain AVA. Dark ruby-colored, it delivers an expressive perfume of spice box, earth notes, violets, cassis, and blackberry. Elegant on the palate, it has ample ripe, succulent fruit, excellent depth and concentration, and a pure, fruit-filled finish. It has the structure to evolve for 2-3 years but can be enjoyed now. DeLille Cellars and Doyenne are sister labels, the former for Bordeaux-style wines and the latter for Rhone-style wines. They will be reviewed separately. www.delillecellars.com
