Note di degustazione
Nougat-like nuttiness and caramelization on the nose are complemented by vanilla-laced quince and pear jellies. The palate is correspondingly confitured and confectionary, subtly creamy in feel, and alluringly loaded with inner-mouth honeysuckle perfume, but also coolingly tinged with mint and balsam. Liquid floral and confectionary notes are prominent on a soothing, lusciously lingering finish, but for all of its richness and sheer sweetness, it preserves a surprising glimpse of wet stone and a welcome measure of primary juiciness.

Selbach's 2018 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese is still reductive yet very clear and flinty on the coolish, pure and aromatically fruity nose with its aromas of ripe and lush yellow-fleshed stone fruit. Lush and crystalline on the palate, this is a charmingly round and seductive Spätlese with crystalline structure, mouthwatering acidity and lingering salinity. This has 9% alcohol and a lot of tickling grip. Tasted from AP 11 19 in May 2019.
