Sourced from a lower plot close the Mosel River, the 2017 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese is very clear, pure and flinty on the intense, fresh and concentrated nose. Lush and intense on the palate, with good concentration, structure and very elegant botrytis fruit, this is a complex, dense and persistently mineral Auslese with good grip, freshness and vibrant terroir expression. An excellent Auslese. Tasted in March 2019.
