Note di degustazione
The 2015 Chardonnay Belle de Jour Duvarita Vineyard is a rich, honeyed wine endowed with lovely depth and oiliness. Tangerine peel, butter, honey and chamomile all flesh out in the glass. This is a decidedly opulent wine in its flavor profile, although medium-bodied in terms of structure.

The 2015 Chardonnay Belle de Jour Hilliard Bruce Vineyard hits it out of the park with intense honeyed apricots, lemon tart and pink grapefruit notes backed up by brioche, toasted almonds and fresh ginger. The medium-bodied palate is very finely crafted, with a refreshing line lifting the citrus and stone fruit flavors to a good, long satiny-textured finish. Yum!
Sautéed apple, salted butter, brioche and toasted bread notes all emerge from this 2015 Chardonnay Belle Du Jour Duvarita Vineyard, which comes from a great site in the Sta. Rita Hills and was fermented and aged in 50% new oak. Rich, supple, elegant, yet stacked Chardonnay that's already impossible to resist. I love its concentration and I suspect it will evolve nicely for a decade or more. Paul Lato is unquestionably one of my favorite winemakers in the Central Coast, and I continue to love his wines. While I found 2015 to be a difficult vintage, you wouldn’t know it by tasting through this lineup.
