2018 Alzinger Riesling Loibenberg Smaragd

From one of the coolest plots of the cru ("Rauheneck") that is already shadowed in the afternoon, the 2018 Riesling Smaragd Ried Loibenberg is beautifully clear and fine on the nose, with very elegant and ripe Riesling aromas intermixed with the coolish and flinty aromas reminiscent of the Steinertal. Concentrated, lush, piquant and elegant on the palate, this is a promising, very elegant and fleshy Riesling with a stimulating salty finish. Tasted at the domain in September 2019.
