The 2012 Ampersand is gorgeous. Supple, rich and inviting, the 2012 possesses striking depth and textural richness. Dark cherry, plum, spice, leather and menthol notes abound in this pliant, supple second wine from Levy & McClellan. Hints of gravel, graphite and smoke add further nuance. Even with all of its intensity, the 2012 retains a good bit of freshness.
