Punteggio 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2007
Medium red. Complex nose melds red fruits, leather, tobacco and coffee. Supple, sweet and fairly rich; less primary than the 2005 but more delicate. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and very good length. Rouget used no new barrels in 2004 because he was afraid the wood would dominate.

Good deep medium red. Spicy blackberry and lovely floral perfume on the enticing nose. Highly perfumed in the mouth, with very pure, intense flavors of spicy redcurrant, raspberry and peppery spices. Not fat or weighty but fragrant and very persistent. There was little oidium here, according to Rouget.
