The 2009 Cabernet Franc from Detert swirls around the glass with a heady concoction of espresso, mocha, licorice and plums. Sweet floral notes and an attractive element of lift are layered in this beautifully delineated, yet sumptuous wine. I especially like the precision and nuance of the finish. This juicy, totally silky Cabernet Sauvignon is a terrific effort. In 2009 the blend is 98% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
