Note di degustazione
From St. Helena’s Jumping Goat Vineyard, the 2014 Métisse Jumping Goat is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot. This sees about 70% new French oak for 18 months and is a smaller cuvée of just under 400 cases. The wine displays terrific blackberry fruit, some camphor and graphite. It is dense, full-bodied, multidimensional, with beautiful purity and a full-bodied finish with moderately sweet, refined tannins. It should drink well for 20-25 years.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Jumping Goat Vineyard Métisse is absolutely beautiful. A wine of total finesse and silkiness, the 2014 speaks to refinement above all else. Nuanced, articulate and super-expressive, the 2014 delivers superb potential and character. This is a wonderfully harmonious, young Cabernet from Melka that emphasizes finesse and polish over sheer size.
Melka's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Jumping Goat Vineyard is lush and broadly-sketched, with striking resonance. Super-ripe dark red and plum, fruit, leather, smoke, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and spice infuse an ample, full-bodied Cabernet. The Jumping Goat is a classic modern Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with tons of immediate appeal.
