Barrel sample. Mid to light crimson. Sweet red fruit, seductive but freshly ripe. Generously rounded and full for a Bourgogne. Smooth and approachable. (JH)

The 2017 Bourgogne Rouge, which had already been bottled, has a pretty, quite floral morello cherry and cranberry bouquet. The lightly spiced palate is medium-bodied with light red currant and cranberry and a soft finish. Drink over the next two or three years.
Aromas of smoky berries, sweet cherries and rich soil introduce the 2017 Bourgogne Rouge, a medium to full-bodied, ample wine with supple tannins and an open-knit, giving profile.
Slightly dull, pale crimson. Light and sweet and fresh. Rather tight and chewy. Not a charmer. (JR)
