2012 Domaine Bruno Clavelier Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Cras Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru

Tasted blind at Flint Wines’ 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras from Bruno Clavelier had a strange nose, very savory in style, almost like oxtail soup aromas infusing the rustic red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannin and ferrous red fruit, but austere and hard towards the finish. This was a strange showing and I will not score this bottle. Tasted November 2016.
