This is a brilliant 2004, rich and supple in texture, with pencil lead, cocoa bean, black cherry, cassis. A kick of fresh acidities makes the whole thing so damn drinkable, reserved and balanced but with a wink and a smile. Love it, one to look out for and recommend. Around 56hl/h yield in this vintage, right up there at the highest allowed for the appellation, and yet just so giving and intense. 45% new oak. Remi di Constanzo technical director.

Rather ordinary ruby. Fresh and easy. A little simple. (JR)
Pretty dark. Scented and well-integrated. Very winning. An early developer and will never be great, but nicely done for the vintage with no unripe tannins or excess greenness. (JR)

The modest Ch. Gloria was only created in the 1940s, when Henri Martin – a cooper – purchased some vines. With parcels dotted in amongst the region’s Classed Growths, it produces impressive wines. Today it's managed by Vanessa and Jean Triaud (Henri Martin’s granddaughter and grandson-in-law).
