Note di degustazione
The aroma gives the impression it is younger than the Liger-Belair La Roche 2009 poured at the same time. Peppery, cool and supple. Rounded and fruity but, at this stage, with only just enough structure for the duck, foie gras and cherry dish it was served with (not exactly the fault of the wine). The dry texture helped it to hold its own but it could have done with a little more freshness, especially for a longer life. (JH)

Ruby-red. Deeply pitched aromas of dark berries, cola and Indian spices, with a smoky mineral quality adding lift. Sappy and expansive on the palate, offering ripe blackberry and bitter cherry flavors lifted and braced by tangy acidity. Closes smooth, smoky and long, with supple tannins adding grip.
