Note di degustazione
Healthy medium red. Pure, reticent aromas of kirsch , licorice and calcaire minerality; less expressive in the early going than the Veroilles or Fuées. Then hugely concentrated and compellingly sweet in the mouth, but with outstanding sappy energy to the flavors of black raspberry, minerals and peach pit. Offers a near-perfect balance between flesh and mineral energy. Finishes with outstanding tactile persistence and a complicating saline quality, the tannins perfectly supported by the wine's strong extract.

Dry, soft and perhaps a little fruitless on the palate. Rather mean. Firm tannins. Rather stringy and lacking ripeness. (RH)
Good deep red with ruby highlights. Captivating, fully ripe aromas of boysenberry, black cherry, violet, almond pit and roasted herbs. Very ripe and very dry, with impressive medicinal reserve to the dark berry flavors. Still a bit youthfully monolithic and quite closed today, but strongly mineral and long on potential. The tannins are powerful but come across as a bit more refined and accessible than usual for this premier cru at this early stage. A very serious 2012 for the cellar.
