Good bright, medium red. Perfumed aromas of raspberry, mint and stone. Sweet, sappy red berry and spice flavors combine a tangy quality with a creaminess of texture. Less powerful and intense than the Chaignots but more refined on the back end, finishing with supple tannins, good grip and lingering black cherry perfume.

The 2011 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes is absolutely impeccable. Gracious, perfumed and light on its feet, the 2011 captures the essence of this site. Sweet tobacco, dried rose petals and crushed berries all develop in the glass. Above all else, the 2011 is a wine of perfume, silkiness and pure texture. There is so much to like here.

The 2011 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Fuesselots has a well-defined nose: autumn bonfire and dried leaves infusing the red berry fruit – tertiary and well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a chalky entry. There is good weight of fruit here, fine tension with a robust, flavor-packed finish with notes of mulberry and raspberry intermingling with minerals that prolong the tail. This is very classy, but one that I would probably prefer to enjoy in its youth. Drink 2015-2024. Having been bowled over by the sublime 2012s, the Marie-Christine took me through the domaine’s 2011s, which provided a useful opportunity to compare the two vintages, in particular with respect to the Ruchottes-Chambertin. Importer: several importers including Michael Skurnik and North Berkeley (US) and Lea & Sandeman, Howard Ripley and Lay & Wheeler (UK).

Good deep, bright red. Liqueur-like raspberry and pomegranate on the nose; "always the highest in volatile acidity in the cellar," notes Marie-Christine Mugneret. More red fruits than black in the mouth, with lively minerality providing verve. Finishes with a very firm tannic spine and excellent mineral lift.
