Note di degustazione
While most of this estate’s wines come from the Russian River, they release a terrific Anderson Valley and Mendocino Pinot Noir. The 2016 Pinot Noir Perli Vineyard has an impressive perfume of spiced cherries, cranberries, dried earth, spice, and spring flowers. It's elegant, medium-bodied, has nicely balanced tannins, and a great finish. It's hard to find fault with any of these new releases from this estate, and this beauty is no exception.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Perli Vineyard is laced with savory herbs, tobacco, mint, dried cherry, leather, dried pear, dried fruit, spicecake and licorice. Pliant and giving, it has quite a bit of aromatic complexity to play off the ripe, juicy fruit. Dried-out flavors and unpolished tannins make the Perli less charming than the other Pinots in the range.
Pale to medium ruby-garnet colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir Perli Vineyard opens with a touch of smoky reduction on the nose, giving way to savory smoked meats, pipe tobacco, potpourri, autumn leaves and perfumed earth with background hints of eucalyptus over a core of briary black fruits. Medium-bodied, firm tannins give great support to this more serious style, with a good core of savory fruits, very juicy acidity and a very long, very savory finish. Yum! 404 cases produced.
