Note di degustazione
The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Goulots has a delightful bouquet with dark berry fruit, hints of spice and wilted rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, quite structured and with fine salinity towards the finish. There is good energy and fine grip towards the finish. It feels just a little rough-hewn at the moment, but those edges will smooth down with time.

Very small premier cru. Cool site north of the village near Combe aux Moines. Took Jean-Marie Fourrier 14 years to understand the site. Just racked into tank prior to tasting. Spicy and liquorice on the nose. Savoury finish – salty almost! Lots of personality. (JR)
Good medium red. Musky aromas of tart cherry stomp and raspberry; less floral and more earthy than the Cherbaudes. Densely packed and aromatic, with sweet raspberry fruit accented by white pepper and a touch of orange zest. Finishes with firm but suave tannins and excellent energy and lift. This wine is a prime example of how the cooler spots frequently outperformed in 2015.
An attractively fresh nose features cool and relatively high-toned red cherry, pomegranate and hints of the sauvage and humus. The mouth feel of the precise, intense and much more mineral-driven medium weight flavors is notably finer though they don’t possess the same richness or seductive texture, all wrapped in a saline and impressively persistent finish where a hint of bitter cherry emerges.
